(work in progress)
Pregazili smo stari veliki throw-up Free Spirit Crew (koje smo tagovali) i napravili jam.
Učestvovali su: Ferid Skenderović, Luka Radović, Nemanja Cvetković, Nataša Šćepanović i Fatima Adžović (K13); Anđela Mršulja i Marija Raketić (Künstler); Mišo Joskić; Kora Stanić; Marko Vujović i ja. Foto: Feśa, Naja i moi.

…
Sunday we were done with the mural. The first one I was creatively involved with (with brushes and paint, not writing about it or organizing, or even just hanging around). It started with naive “oh, I can help you a bit” and “I’ll just glue a few clays on the wall”, and ended up with me spending 8 out of 9 production days being there as much as I could, barely taking the brush out of my hands (a small warning for you who might be interested in having me). Few days my muscles were so sore from climbing up the long ladders or squatting to paint on the floor (which tells more about my fitness if anything else), but from the inside it was different: a complete recharge. I was dreaming of painting almost every day and couldn’t wait to go out and spend time with these awesome people. It seems this was one of those “flows”.
The gods have treated us with nice weather, although the forecast was gray and wet. The neighbors tolerated us, if not providing us with constant support and attention. The kids made their habit of checking up on us everyday and find what else is new, the granny from the apartment above told me we ought to paint the whole wall not to leave it ugly as it is, and the local crew was dropping by often, often bringing snackies and beer. The moment we were done, the kids started coming to take photos and make TikTok videos.
(details)
It all started rather spontaneously: Mišo mentioned we should do something together before I leave, and Feśa in an art talk as part of #GrafitiVikendPG offered to work together on a wall in their hood, making use of the good energy and contacts made during the events. And then one morning there was a message like: “hey crew, I’m going out tonight to the wall, come join”.
We went over an old throw-up by Free Spirit Crew (which we respectfully tagged) and made a jam. One can find all sort of things out there: sprays and acryllics, paste-ups and stencils, clays and susuwatari, anime characters and Uroš Tošković, Nebo and hip hop songs, tentacle and Sakura, skull and wolfes, Glagolitic alphabet and robot, as well as my stars and references to old graffiti from Podgorica… „Vazda je dobro, jer stilovi su razni“ (It’s always good when the styles are diverse).
While I’m removing the multicolored stains from my sweatshirt, I’m thinking we really need some distance to realize what we have done. And after a few days, I know I’ll miss the daily work, the crew and the creative escape.

A BIG THANKS goes to: Feśa who was the driving force behind it and who invited me (us) to participate, and Ludži who showed me respect with the stars. This was also the first occasion to have K13 crew, Künstler and Mišo Joskić working together. Hoping for many more murals and collabs in the future… and don’t forget to invite me sometimes! 😀
Participants: Ferid Skenderović, Luka Radović, Nemanja Cvetković, Nataša Šćepanović and Fatima Adžović (K13); Anđela Mršulja and Marija Raketić (Kunstler); Mišo Joskić; Kora Stanić; Marko Vujović and myself. Foto: Feśa, Naja & moi.
